This property located in Pine Meadow Ranch a ranch that was subdivided in the 1970’s.

Most of the lot owners use their lots for annual camping trips, but there are about 75 families that call Pine Meadow Ranch their full time home.

There is a POA that collects a $30/yr assessment for road maintenance and a community well for lot owners.

There isn’t power in this part of the ranch so you’ll need solar or a generator. Folks haul water and the local Navajo tribe sells and delivers water.

Albuquerque is two hours east, Grants is an hour away at I-40, State Route 53 is 10 miles from the property.

There are two unique stores each about 15 miles out, Ancient Way Outpost & Candy Kitchen Trading Post where you can get a meal or pick up supplies.

Photos were taken by local photographer of this property and an adjacent one to the west. I have not been on the property. I purchased it to resell so everything I know about the property is in this listing.

Pine Meadow Ranch is adjacent to the El Morro National Monument, located on an ancient east-west trail in western New Mexico. The main feature is a great sandstone promontory with a pool of water at its base. As a shaded oasis in the western U.S. desert, this site has seen many centuries of travelers. The remains of a mesa top pueblo are atop the promontory where between about 1275 to 1350 AD, up to 1500 people lived in this 875 room pueblo. The Spaniard explorers called it El Morro (The Headland). The Zuni Indians call it “A’ts’ina” (Place of writings on the rock). Anglo-Americans called it Inscription Rock. Travelers left signatures, names, dates, and stories of their treks. While some of the inscriptions are fading, there are still many that can be seen today, some dating to the 17th century. When it became a National Monument in 1906, U.S. federal law prohibited further carving.
