Full Time - Experienced

The Senior administrative position in the Church. Manages, coordinates and supervises the business operations of a 1,200 plus member church with an annual budget of approximately $1.5MM. The Church Business Administrator works with the staff and ministry leaders of Sandia Presbyterian Church (SPC) to prepare strategic plans that support the overall mission and vision of the Church and facilitate the development of annual departmental and ministry budgets to support those plans. They help develop, implement and administer the Church’s accounting policies and fiscal strategy. This position is responsible for reporting on the financial health of the Church by maintaining oversight of all internal and external financial, accounting, tax, and reporting functions. The Church Business Administrator is responsible for all financial and regulatory reporting, financial information systems, audits/reviews, tax filings, cash management, and process improvements for the Church. This position will also oversee management of the Church’s facilities. Qualifications must include a strong Christian faith, a heart for ministry and following of the Church’s doctrine.

A 4 year business related degree. The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of previous Business Administrator experience, preferably in Church or non-profit administration. Proficiency in Excel, Word and LOGOS and experience with general IT is desired. Supervisory and management experience and a working knowledge of accounting are required.
